I hope everyone had a wonderful couple of weeks with family and friends!
A brief update-
Jord was home for Christmas but developed a fever and was re-admitted to the hospital on 12/27 where they treated him for a new pneumonia. He was discharged on 1/4/16.....not only improving from his bout with the pneumonia but also having started more chemo....2 doses out of 3. He's getting his 3rd dose today as an outpatient. While we wait for chemo results and potentially plan next steps, we will keep up the almost daily trips to the hospital for tests and/or transfusions...whatever it takes to keep Jord healthy and progressing down the road to recovery!
In September, we accepted that the road to recovery would be long. We never anticipated how winding and bumpy that road might become but it's been a steep learning curve. Jord's strength of body and of mind has made it possible for him to handle all these "bumps" along the way as well as all the potential curves ahead.
We continue to benefit and appreciate all your support. I cannot say thank you enough.
Much love.
xo,
Deb
Huge hugs and love from Brooklyn to all of you. You all deserve a better 2016. All best - and thank YOU, Debbie, for keeping us posted. Tom Nagorski
ReplyDeleteSo much love ...and mostly our private strong hopes that each day and month will get better for jordie and the family. I hope you deb are taking care of yourself too(!!!!) thinking of you all a lot. With love, brandy
ReplyDeleteThinking about you and family. Sending love, prayers and strength.
ReplyDeleteThinking about you guys. I'll never forget Jordie invited me to go to the Palestras to watch the "Princeton Penn" basketball game with the Soloman Smith Barney team in 1999. I was an intern with Bill Freeman and him and was the first time someone called it the "Princeton"-Penn (I always thought everyone called it the Penn Princeton game:) I think about this twice a year.
ReplyDeleteWhat I appreciate as well about Jordie is his love of CHA! The man is TRUE BLUE! I especially appreciated the way he took care of his classmate when he was sick a few years back. Fight on, Jordie! We're praying for you... Matt, Tina Finley and Richie
Thinking about all of you during this very difficult time. Please let me know if I can help in any way.
